Lena, LA : Pedestrian killed in wreck on Louisiana 616 on Sunday, 16th February, 2020

A West Monroe woman walking on Louisiana 616 was killed in a Sunday night wreck.

Shortly before 7:15 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop F responded to a crash on LA Hwy 616.

The initial investigation revealed the wreck occurred as a 2001 GMC Sierra driven by Spencer Johnson, age 51, of Sterlington, was traveling east on Louisiana 616.

For reasons still under investigation, a pedestrian, Christi Savanna, age 49, of West Monroe was walking in the eastbound travel lane. Savanna, who was wearing dark colored clothes, was hit by the GMC.
