Logansport, IN : 600 East crash injures two on Wednesday, 7th September 2016

A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 600 East and U.S. 24 Wednesday morning sent two men to the hospital.

Police say Thomas Kendall, 59, Peru, was traveling north on 600 East in his grey 1999 Chevrolet Silverado when he failed to yield to an orange Kokosing Industrial box truck traveling west on U.S. 24. The driver of the box truck was Kenneth Reed, Fredericktown, Ohio.

Medics transported both drivers to Logansport Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, Cass County Sheriff's Deputy Dave Wells said at the scene. The crash caused a backup on U.S. 24 for several minutes while crews were cleaning up the area.

New Waverly Fire Department, the CCSD and Prompt Ambulance Services assisted at the scene.
