Melbourne, FL : Bicyclist killed in struck from behind by a truck on Saturday October 31 2015

A Melbourne bicyclist was killed when she was struck from behind by a truck Saturday afternoon, according to Melbourne police.
Police said Tamalyn Richter, 54, was riding on Post Road near the East Bay Plantation Subdivision around 12:45 p.m. when she was hit by the truck.
According to police, the pickup, driven by Michael John Allen, 57, of Melbourne was traveling on Post Road when several vehicles in front of him moved to the left to avoid Richter, who was riding along the shoulder of the road. Police said Allen failed to move over and struck Richter's bicycle from behind.
Police said the accident is still under investigation and that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
