ROANOKE, VA : Juvenile injured in crash with Roanoke City on Friday, 15th December 2023

Roanoke Police are investigating a pedestrian accident involving a Roanoke City bus that occurred on Dec. 15.

According to RPD, around 8:50 a.m. on Friday, 911 dispatch received reports that a person was hit near the intersection of Cove Road and Lancelot Lane NW. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a juvenile girl with non-life-threatening injuries. The child was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment by Roanoke Fire-EMS.

Bystanders who allegedly witnessed the incident told police the young girl entered the road and was then hit by a Roanoke City School Bus.
