Becker County , MN :16- Years old Chelsie Sakrismo taken to hospital with injures after Two vehicle crash on Highway 10 Thursday ,April 30 2015

A rear-end crash here Thursday night sent a Ulen teenager to the hospital and totaled both vehicles, according to state patrol officials.

Lt. Tiffani Nielson, of the Minnesota State Patrol, said Chelsie Sakrismo, 16, was driving her Pontiac Grand Am east on Highway 10 when she lost control of the car and overcorrected.

The car ran off the road to the left, hitting a sign and crossing over into the median into the eastbound lanes of Highway 10, Nielson said.

That's where it was rear-ended by Zachariah Tougas, 21, of Detroit Lakes, who was headed east on 10 in his Ford pickup.

Sakrismo suffered a non-life-threatening injury, and Tougas was not hurt. Both vehicles were totaled.
