PITTSBURG, NH : 2 injured and 1 hospitalized, in ATV crash in Pittsburg on Sunday, July 23, 2017
New Hampshire Fish and Game officials said two people from Worcester, Massachusetts, were injured in an ATV crash in Pittsburg on Sunday afternoon.
Conservation officers said Maclynn Trojan, 29, was operating an ATV on Halls Stream Road around 1:15 p.m.
Trojan did not slow down in time to avoid the ATV in front of her as the operator slowed down, and her right front tire appeared to strike the left rear tire of the other ATV.
The collision caused both ATVs to crash and roll over.
Trojan was taken to Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other operator, John Saffron, 72, refused treatment for minor scrapes and bruises sustained in the crash.
Neither rider was wearing helmets at the time of the crash, officials said.
Fish and Game said the primary factor in the crash appeared to be following too close.
