BOYNTON BEACH, FL : Roadway debris led to fatal I-95 crash in Boynton on Wednesday, 4th March, 2020

Debris was the catalyst for a fatal four-car crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 95 in Boynton Beach, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

West Palm Beach resident Axel E. Duarte Ortiz, 33, was killed in the wreck. Three other drivers sustained minor injuries, authorities said.The crash happened at about 1:30 p.m. on southbound I-95 between Boynton Beach Boulevard and Woolbright Road.

Maria Francisco Andres, 21, of Lake Worth Beach slowed the 2003 Ford Explorer SUV she was driving when she spotted debris partially in the roadway.
