One killed, four injured in Dane County crash

The Dane County Sheriff's Office said alcohol was involved in an accident that killed one man and sent four other people to the hospital Saturday night.

The crash occurred at 7:39 p.m. in the Town of York at State Highway 73 and County Highway TT when a car failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a minivan.

The 47-year-old driver of the car was taken to UW Hospital and Clinics with serious injuries; his 51-year-old male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the minivan and two passengers also were taken to UW Hospital. Their injuries were not life-threatening, the Sheriff's Office said.
