Charlotte County, FL : 30 year old male driver injured in car accident on US 41 in Charlotte County on Sunday morning, October 19, 2014

An early morning crash along US 41 and Bayshore Road in Charlotte County leaves the driver in critical condition. The driver's name is not being released until the Florida Highway Patrol contacts next of kin. They say the driver was heading north on US 41 in the inside left turn lane for Bayshore Road. The vehicle hit the curbed median and lost control. The impact caused the vehicle to land on its side and the male driver, 30, from Port Charlotte was ejected from the vehicle.
