PUEBLO, CO : 2 minors in custody after police chase ends in crash near Pueblo hospital on Friday, 1st March 2024

Two juveniles are in custody after a police chase in Pueblo on Friday ended in a crash near a local hospital.

11 News learned of the situation just after 3:30 p.m. when multiple callers reported a heavy police presence near the Parkview Medical Center, north of downtown.

According to Pueblo police, officials were pursuing a stolen vehicle when the vehicle crashed near the hospital. Police said the vehicle was reportedly used in three armed robberies in the past 24 hours, and the pursuit began after the driver refused to stop for an officer.

The driver eventually hit another vehicle near N. 15th Street and Elizabeth Street. The driver and a passenger in the stolen vehicle, both minors, ran from the scene but were taken into custody after a short foot chase.

According to police, a woman who was driving the vehicle that was hit was taken to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries. Officials said this is still an ongoing investigation.
