Temple, TX : I-35 accident in Troy on Monday, January, 15th 2018
A northbound crash involving multiple vehicles, including a tractor-trailer that lost its load, shut down both directions of Interstate 35 in Troy.
At 5:23 p.m., Jodi Wheatley, a spokeswoman for the Texas Department of Transportation, said southbound lanes have reopened and traffic is now moving, but will take time to clear.
Another update at 6 p.m. said the accident scene has been cleared and traffic will begin moving.
Earlier, a motorist talked to the Telegram about the delays.
"Southbound is finally moving," said motorist Wayne Tyroch. "Traffic was backed up to Waco (area). People were out of their cars sitting on the concrete barriers."
