Billings, MT : Man dies from injuries after being struck by pickup on Monday, November 17, 2014
Yellowstone County officials have identified a 74-year-old Billings man who was struck and killed while trying to cross the street in a crosswalk.
Coroner Lt. Bill Jones tells The Billings Gazette that David Clarence McDaniel died on Nov. 17 of head trauma suffered when his head hit the pavement.
Billings Police Lt. Kevin Iffland says McDaniel was crossing the street at about 3:45 p.m. when he was struck. The 79-year-old man who was driving the pickup said he did not see McDaniel because his vision was obscured by the sun's glare.
Charges have not been filed against the driver.
The case is still being investigated.
