Topeka,KA : Fatal crash reported in Labette County on may, sunday 14th 2017

At least one person was killed Sunday afternoon in a head-on crash in Labette County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 2 p.m. on US-400 highway about a mile east of Parsons.

According to information from the Kansas Highway Patrol’s online crash log, an eastbound vehicle on US-400 crossed the center line, causing a westbound vehicle to take evasive action.

The eastbound vehicle collided with the westbound vehicle head-on, causing the eastbound vehicle to be launched in the air. The patrol said the eastbound vehicle then turned nearly 180 degrees and landed on all four wheels partially on the grass. The westbound vehicle came to rest in the grass will all four wheels facing southeast.

Additional details, including the number of individuals who were killed and additional information on their identities and the vehicles involved in the crash, weren’t available early Monday.
