MEMPHIS, TN : 3 injured in crash involving MPD cruiser in northeast Memphis on Friday, 3rd May 2024

Three people are injured after a crash involving a Memphis Police car happened Friday in northeast Memphis.

Memphis Police said they responded to a three-vehicle crash May 3 just after midnight at Appling Road and Valley Mist Drive.

A man driving a Nissan Altima was traveling south on Appling when trying to turn left onto Valley Mist. However, a MPD car heading north on Appling hit his rear, causing the first driver to spin and strike a third car — another Nissan Altima. Three people inside the third car were taken to the hospital in non-critical condition. The police officer was not injured.
