WATONGA, OK : A Warr Acres man was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Friday, 6th April 2018

A Warr Acres man was injured Friday in a two-vehicle accident near Watonga in Blaine County.

James L. Walker, 20, was taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in critical condition with leg, arm and face injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

The accident happened at 1:16 p.m. Friday on U.S. 270 about 9 miles west of Watonga.

According to the report, Walker was driving a 2018 Ford Transit west on U.S. 270 when he hit the rear bumper of a 2007 Chevrolet 1500 pickup that was disabled in the westbound lane. The driver of the pickup, Caleb Riggs, 52, of Enid, was not injured.

The cause of the accident was listed on the report as inattention.
