EFFINGHAM, IL : Ejected driver dies in rollover accident south of Effingham on Monday, 15th July 2019

State Police said a pickup truck driver was ejected and suffered fatal injuries Monday morning when his vehicle drove off Interstate 57 and rolled south of Effingham.A statement from Trooper Tammy Welborn identified the driver as Brandon J. Fanno, 26, of New Castle, Pa. Welborn said the accident happened around 8:37 a.m. as Fanno’s truck headed southbound five miles south of Effingham.


“Preliminary investigative details indicate (Fanno’s truck) traveled off the roadway to the right into the treeline, where it rolled over,” said Welborn. “No seat belt was worn and the driver was ejected.”
