Reno ,NV : Two vehicle crash in central Reno on Friday ,july 31s 2015

Reno police have told News 4 an intersection in central Reno is closed at this hour because of a two-vehicle crash.

According to Reno Police Lt. Shaw, officers responded to the call of a two-vehicle crash involving a red sedan and a white sedan at about 8 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Watt St. and Country Club Dr. near Virginia Lake in Reno.

Lt. Shaw said one male driver was found trapped in his vehicle; Reno Fire successfully extricated the man and he was sent to Renown with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they are still waiting to hear the status of driver.

Lt. Shaw said the Major Accident Investigation Team has been called in to this crash and the intersection will remain closed for about five hours while the investigation takes place.
