NEAR EDINBURG, TX : Man dies in late night motorcycle crash on Wednesday, 19th October 2016

Officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety are investigating a Wednesday night motorcycle crash that resulted in a fatality, according to a DPS news release.

Mario Reyna, 32, of Edinburg died Wednesday night as a result of injuries suffered after he crashed his motorcycle when he 'failed to negotiate a turn,' according to the release.

Just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday Reyna was traveling on Farm-to-Market Road 1423 south of Curve Road, according to the DPS release.

Reyna, officials believe, lost control after he failed to 'negotiate a curve on the roadway.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of injuries suffered, the release said.

DPS officials continued their investigation into the cause of the crash as of Thursday morning.
