Grand Haven,MI : Two hurt in crash at U.S. 31 and Comstock morning on November, Thursday 16th 2017
A Coopersville woman and a West Olive man were injured in a two-car crash late Thursday morning at U.S. 31 and Comstock Street.
Emergency crews responded to the Grand Haven Township intersection at 11:40 a.m.
Barbara Crandle, 82, was driving a 2008 Cadillac south on the highway and attempting to turn east onto Comstock Street, said Sgt. Steve Austin of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. The Coopersville woman proceeded through a flashing yellow light and was struck by a car heading north on U.S. 31.
The northbound car, a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 64-year-old Scott Durfee of West Olive, could not avoid colliding with the Cadillac as it turned in front of the SUV, Austin said.
