A 72-year-old male died in a head-on car crash Sunday on Highway 299 east of Cemetery Road, according to CHP.
CHP said a 2003 Ford Ranger was driving westbound on Highway 299, east of Cemetery Road at about 55 mph while 39-year-old Aaron Angeli was driving a 1997 Ford Club Wagon eastbound on Highway 299.
For reasons still under investigation, the driver of the Ford Ranger veered over the double yellow lines and entered the eastbound lane directly into the path of the Club Wagon and the vehicles collided head-on in the eastbound lane, CHP said.
