Lubbock, TX : Pedestrian injured during crash at S. Loop 289 and Indiana Ave. Sunday night, July 31, 2016

A pedestrian was taken to the hospital Sunday night after being hit by a vehicle near the eastbound turnaround at South Loop 289 and Indiana Ave.

The accident happened around 8:15 p.m.

Officials with the Lubbock Police Department say the pedestrian's legs were broken. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The access road was blocked at the time of the accident, but there is no word if it has reopened at this time.
