Fort Lauderdale, FL : One person dead after truck collides with motorized scooter in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday morning, February 19, 2015

A beer truck struck and killed a person on a motorized scooter in Fort Lauderdale Thursday morning.

The accident happened east of Interstate 95 along Southwest 15th Avenue sometime before 9:30 a.m.

According to Police, the victim is a man in his 60's. He was crossing on State Road 84 from south to north when the truck hit him.

Detectives are on the scene trying to determine how the collision happened, and if the man had the right-of-way.
