Alexandria, VA : Alexandria man injured in motorcycle crash on Arrowwood Drive NW near Sunny Brook Drive on Tuesday, 31st July 2018

A 20-year-old Alexandria man was injured following a motorcycle crash Tuesday, July 31, in Alexandria.

Alexander Wayne Olson was transported to Alomere Health following the crash that occurred shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Arrowwood Drive NW near Sunny Brook Drive.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office:

When authorities first received the 911 call, it was reported that Olson crashed into a pole and was unconscious.

When deputies arrived at the crash, witnesses reported that the motorcycle was traveling northeast on Arrowwood Drive when the driver lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle, colliding with a sign post.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the cause remains under investigation. Olson is in stable condition.

Assisting the Douglas County Sheriff's Office were North Ambulance, Garfield First Responders and the Minnesota State Patrol. LifeLink III was on standby.
