Victoria, TX : A one-vehicle wreck in Lavaca County on Monday, January, 15th 2018

A one-vehicle wreck in Lavaca County Monday afternoon sent a Victoria man to an area hospital.

Thomas Mandale Reeves, 33, was traveling south on U.S. 77 in a 2018 International truck tractor-trailer that was used to deliver milk and other dairy products, when he dozed off or got distracted and went into the center median near County Road 444, said Sgt. Ruben San Miguel, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety.

He overcorrected causing the tractor-trailer to go into a side skid and overturn.

The wreck occurred at about 5:50 p.m.

Reeves was transported to Yoakum Community Hospital where he was treated and released.

Passenger Toby Stinks, 47, of Austin, was transported by helicopter with leg and head injuries to San Antonio Medical Center and was in stable condition, San Miguel said.
