One person was taken to the hospital today after crashing into a light pole in Newhall, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
A white sedan crashed into the pole at around 4:20 p.m. near Railroad Avenue and Sixth Street, said Sgt. Richard Cohen.
The driver was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital following the crash, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Cheryl Sims.
Southern California Edison responded to the scene to check out the light pole, but no outages were reported in the area, Cohen said. Traffic was not impacted, he added.
