Solway Township, MN : Two injured after vehicle was hit by a semi-truck in Saint Louis County on Tuesday, June 14, 2016

Two people are both in fair condition after suffering serious injuries after their vehicle was hit by a semi-truck.

The crash happened around 7:30 last evening at the intersection of Highway Two and Munger Shaw Road.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the car was facing east on the shoulder of Highway Two when it started to make a left turn.

The vehicle was then hit by the semi, which was traveling in the same direction.

Authorities say a Erik Petoletti, 22, of Proctor and Morgan Schworer, 20, from Omaha, Nebraska were taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth with serious injuries.

The eight year old boy traveling with them suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Both the driver and the passenger of the semi were uninjured.
