An area man was transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center after colliding his 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle with a Toyota Prius on Sunday afternoon.
According to a press release from Fort Walton Beach Police Department, Curtis Andrew Blum was driving his motorcycle north along Eglin Parkway in the outer most northbound lane. Blum collided with the right side of a Toyota Prius as it was traveling south on Eglin and making a left-hand turn onto Hughes Street.
Curtis was rushed from the scene via Okaloosa County EMS to the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. At this time it does not appear that alcohol was a contributing factor in relation to this incident, the release said.
Blum stabilized at the hospital and by Monday was talking and walking around, according to police. He was wearing a helmet.
