Okmulgee County ,OK : Bristow man, woman die in crash on U.S. 75 on Friday evening,July 10th 2015

A Bristow man and woman died Friday evening in a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 75 at Preston in Okmulgee County, officials said.

About 6:30 p.m. Friday, Leon Pinson, 74, and Ada Pinson, 68, attempted to make a left turn on U.S. 75 when Leon Pinson failed to yield from a stop sign, according to an accident report. Their 2005 Lincoln Town Car drove in front of an oncoming 2001 GMC pickup truck, which struck the Town Car on the driver's side door.

Leon Pinson and Ada Pinson were pinned for about 30 minutes while Okmulgee fire crews tried to extract them from the vehicle.

Leon Pinson was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple injuries. Ada Pinson was taken to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, where she was pronounced dead a short time after.
