SMYRNA, TN : Crash closes interstate in Rutherford County on Tuesday, 17th September 2024

A crash involving multiple vehicles forced the interstate to shut down early Tuesday morning in Rutherford County.

The incident was reported just before 4 a.m., according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). It involved at least two vehicles on I-24 East at mile marker 73, just before I-840.

It is unknown if anyone was injured during the crash.
