Belleville, IL : Red Bud man dies in two-car crash near Marissa on Monday, July 18, 2016

A man from Red Bud died after being ejected from a car during a crash on Monday near Marissa.

Zacharie Antry, 21, had driven through a stop sign going west on Randolph County Line Road when another driver coming south on Doza Creek Road hit the passenger side of his vehicle, according to police. Antry’s passenger was injured, but the driver of the car that hit them was not.

Antry attended First Baptist Church in Waterloo, according to his obituary, and graduated Red Bud High School in 2014. He was employed as a welder at Progressive Recovery in Dupo.

A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, at the First Baptist Church. The funeral will be directly after.
