KERSHAW COUNTY, SC : Chain reaction crash involving tractor-trailer on I-20 turns deadly on Saturday, 10th August 2024

One person is dead, and two are in the hospital after a crash involving a tractor-trailer and two other vehicles on I-20 around noon on Saturday.

According to Master Trooper William Bennett with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 11:40 a.m. in Kershaw County, roughly seven miles west of Camden. Bennett said a 2011 Buick sedan, a 2006 Ford pickup truck and a 2024 Freightliner tractor-trailer truck were heading east on the interstate when the first two vehicles stopped for traffic.
