Picacho Peak, AZ : 78-year-old woman in a single-vehicle crash on I-10 near Picacho Peak on Tuesday, June 14, 2016

A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash that restricted westbound lanes of I-10 near Picacho Peak on Tuesday, June 13.

According to a spokesman from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the victim was a 78-year-old woman from the area. She was headed east when she lost control, crossed the median onto westbound lanes and her vehicle rolled over.

There is no word yet on what caused her to lose control and the crash remains under investigation. DPS expects restrictions to remain at least until 6 p.m.
