Lexington, NC : Two people killed in a motorcycle crash in Davidson County on Saturday night, May 2, 2015

Two people have died after a motorcycle crash in North Carolina.

45-year-old Christopher Morgan and 39-year-old Sherry McDowell were riding together in Davidson County Sunday night. Morgan lost control of the motorcycle as he was entering a curve on Highway 8, skidding off the road. Both Morgan and McDowell, who was riding behind Morgan, were ejected.

McDowell died at the scene. Morgan died later at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Both were from Lexington.

Investigators told the station alcohol and speed may have been factors in the crash.
