Dallas, TX : Pedestrian Struck, Killed on I-30 Near Jim Miller Road on Wednesday, February 17, 2016

A pedestrian has been struck and killed while attempting to cross Interstate 30 in Dallas, police say.

Emergency crews were called to the westbound lanes of I-30 near Jim Miller Road at about 8 p.m.

Police said a vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other vehicles then collided with one another nearby.

There were no injuries to any of the vehicles' occupants.

Police said the driver whose vehicle hit the pedestrian stopped and spoke with officers, and no charges will be filed.

The pedestrian's identity will not be released until the next of kin is notified, police said.
