Three Albion sisters injured in Town of Ridgeway crash

Three Albion sisters en route home from an overnight church activity were hospitalized early Saturday after their car crashed into a field off Knowlesville Road in the Town of Ridgeway, Orleans County sheriff’s officials said.

The crash occurred about 7:40 a.m., when the northbound car driven by Kayla M. Strickland, 18, of Albion veered off the road and overturned in a field, after the driver had fallen asleep, deputies said.

Twin sisters Laura and Lilly Strickland, 16, were freed from the wreckage by Ridgeway firefighters and taken to Medina Memorial Hospital. The driver was flown by MercyFlight to Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. Their conditions were unavailable Saturday night.
