Bradenton, FL : Motorcyclist dead in Bradenton crash early Tuesday, August 23, 2016
A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a car in Bradenton early Tuesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Around 6 a.m., Richard Thomas Sconyers of Bradenton was traveling eastbound on State Road 70 and crossing through the 22nd Street Court East intersection. Russell Steven Omens, 65, of Bradenton, was driving a Toyota westbound on State Road 70 and made a left turn onto southbound 22nd Street Court East and struck the motorcyclist.
FHP blocked eastbound lanes from 15th Street East to U.S. 301. The scene was cleared at around 9 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
