DARTMOUTH, MA : 'Significant' crash in Dartmouth sends 2 women to hospital on Tuesday, 1st November 2016

Traffic was temporarily detoured after a 'significant' car crash occurred in Dartmouth early Tuesday evening.

ABC6 News learned two unidentified female pedestrians were struck by a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old man from Westport .

According to a post on Dartmouth Police's Facebook, the motor vehicle crash happened around 6:19 p.m. at the intersection of Old Westport Road, and Cross Road.

Authorities say one of the female victims,19, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, and the second female victim, 21, was transported to St. Luke's Hospital.

Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating at this time.
