SPIRIT LAKE, ID : Woman dies in Highway 41 crash on Sunday, 6th May 2018

A Newport woman was killed and a Newport man left in critical condition after their motorcycle collided with a pickup truck driven by an allegedly intoxicated driver, who was arrested on several charges Friday night.

Idaho State Police reported that Jonathan A. Smith, 25, of Spirit Lake, was driving a 1992 Dodge Dakota south on State Highway 41 south of Spirit Lake just before 11 p.m. when he turned onto a side road in front of Mark J. Kondash, 49, who was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound with Alayna C. Wright, 48, as his passenger.
