Brentwood,CA : Two hurt in Brentwood rollover crash on August, Wednesday 16th 2017
Two East County residents are expected to survive injuries they suffered after a solo rollover vehicle crash Wednesday evening, authorities said.
Around 6:45 p.m., police received a report of the crash at Sand Creek Road and Roselinda Drive, Brentwood police Lt. Walter O’Grodnick said.
Officers said a 21-year-old Antioch woman was driving with a 26-year-old Brentwood man when the crash occurred.
Firefighters and ambulance crews also responded, and learned that the vehicle traveled off Sand Creek down an embankment into a tree before coming to rest in the 1300 block of Roselinda Road, according to East Contra Costa Fire battalion chief Jake Gonzalez.
The woman was driven by ambulance to an area hospital, while the man was life-flighted by CALSTAR1 helicopter to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
Officers are looking into the crash’s cause. A preliminary investigation says alcohol appears to be a contributing factor, O’Grodnick said.
