A 6-year-old boy was killed and several people were injured in a single-car crash on County Road 7150 south of Bloomfield Saturday morning, State Police say.

The crash was reported at approximately 11:45 a.m. Saturday on the county road a half mile west of U.S. Highway 550. The initial investigation showed that a 2003 Jeep driven by 40-year-old Candace Jim of Farmington was traveling east on County Road 7150 when it crossed into the westbound lane, according to State Police. When the driver overcorrected, the vehicle rolled.

Three passengers in the back seat of the vehicle, all children, were ejected, State Police said. The 6-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene, and his twin — a 6-year-old girl – suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center. Police said the other child, a 9-year-old girl, was treated for injuries not believed to be life threatening.
