Warwick,RI : Motorcyclist, 48, killed in collision with vehicle on October, Saturday 7th 2017

Police in Rhode Island are investigating a crash that left a motorcyclist dead.

Officers responded to the scene in Warwick around 6:20 p.m. Saturday for a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.

The motorcyclist, 48-year-old John Boulay, of Warwick, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say Boulay had been traveling west when the driver of the vehicle cut into his lane, causing a collision. Boulay had not been wearing a helmet.

Neither speed nor distracted driving appear to be factors in the crash.

Police say criminal charges are not expected. Civil violations are pending.
