Saint James, MO : A vehicle accident south of St James on Hwy 68 on Sunday, November, 5th 2017

Two men lost their lives early Sunday morning in a vehicle accident south of St James on Hwy 68, about 1.5 miles south of Hwy 8. The crash occurred when Richard W. Brown, age 78 from Cook Station, was northbound and crossed the center line in his 2004 Ford truck and struck a southbound 2001 Dodge pickup driven by Adam R. Peck, age 34, of St. Peters, Mo.
Upon impact, Brown’s Ford truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and Peck’s truck traveled off of the left side of the highway and overturned. Both men were pronounced deceased at the scene by Phelps County Coroner Andy Davis, at 8:40 a.m.

Sgt. S.W. Cunningham, Sgt. J.D. Cox, Sgt. P. Meyers, Cpl. J.r. McCurdy, Trooper J.S. Leathers and Trooper J.N. Rigsby assisted at the accident.
