Skateboarder killed in hit-and-run crash

Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a skateboarder early Saturday morning.

Authorities said the crash happened on the Interstate 10 service road near Bundy Road about 1:30 a.m.

Investigators said the 21-year-old man was struck by a motorist and found lying on the side of the road.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

There were no witnesses present at the time.
