Brighton, MA : 81-year-old man killed when crushed between two cars after involved in a minor accident on the Massachusetts Turnpike on Friday night, March 27, 2015
A Watertown man was killed in a three-car crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Brighton late Friday night.
The crash occurred around 11 p.m. on the westbound side of the turnpike before the Allston-Brighton tolls, according to police.
An investigation indicates a minor collision occurred between a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by William Hamilton, 73, of Worcester, and a 1998 Honda Accord driven by Arkloo Wong, 81, of Watertown.
Following the collision, Wong and Hamilton parked their vehicles in the right, active travel lane to exchange paperwork, according to police.
Wong exited his car, which was parked behind Hamilton's, and stood behind it. A 2010 Volkswagen driven by Joseph Coury, 30, of Brigton, hit Wong while he was standing behind his car, according to police.
Wong was pronounced dead at the scene.
Coury was taken to Beth Israel Hospital for treatment while Hamilton was uninjured in the crash, according to police.
No charges have been filed, but that crash remains under investigation.
