Police confirm a fatal accident investigation is underway in Virginia Beach.The accident scene at the intersection of Independence Boulevard and Salem Road was reported at 1:44 p.m. Thursday.Southbound Independence Boulevard from Princess Anne Road and northbound Independence Boulevard from Salem Road was closed until 4 p.m.No other details have been released at this time.
