Las Vegas, NV : Teen dies in crash near Grand Canyon and Twain Avenue Tuesday evening on May 20, 2014
A 19-year-old man is dead after a two-car crash near Grand Canyon Drive and Twain Avenue Tuesday evening.
The crash happened shortly before 7 p.m. on Twain Avenue near Paria Canyon Street. Police say a 2004 Infinity and 2013 Hyundai were speeding west on Twain as they approached Grand Canyon. The Infinity clipped the Hyundai, causing both vehicles to spin out of control.
Police say the cars struck a nearby wall and lamp post before coming to a stop on Twain Avenue. The 19-year-old, who was the driver of the Hyundai, died at the scene of the accident. Emergency crews transported the 18-year-old driver and a 17-year-old passenger from the Infinity to University Medical Center in serious condition.
The Clark County Coroner's Office will identify the 19-year-old once next of kin have been notified.
