Two Shawnee residents were injured in a crash Thursday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
At approximately 1:15 p.m., a 1992 Geo driven by Robert Crowder, 56, of Shawnee was traveling southbound on Indian Nation Turnpike, approximately .8 miles west of McAlester in Pittsburg county, when his vehicle ran off the roadway into the center median and over corrected.
The vehicle overturned approximately 1.5 times, coming to rest on its top.
Crowder was transported to McAlester Regional Health Center. He was admitted in stable condition with a head injury.
The passanger was a 12-year-old Shawnee resident. He was transported by Life Flight to St. Francis in Tulsa. He was admitted in serious condition with arm injuries.
