Wayne County, OH : Three people were injured in Buggy crash on Monday July 28th 2014
Three people were injured — two seriously — when a car collided Monday with an Amish buggy in Wayne County.
The Ohio Highway Patrol reports that a vehicle driven by a 77-year-old Millersburg woman collided with the buggy from behind around 9:30 a.m. on Fredericksburg Road near Messner Road in Franklin Township.
William L. Swartzentruber, 53, and his wife, Anna F. Swartzentruber, 53, of West Salem, were ejected from the buggy.
The couple was initially taken to Wooster Community Hospital and later taken by medical helicopter to Akron City Hospital.
The car’s driver was treated at the scene.
The horse sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by a veterinarian.
The crash remains under investigation.
