Black Forest,CO :Woman and two children killed in Black Forest crash on October, Sunday 22th 2017
A woman and two children were killed in a two-car crash in Black Forest Sunday.
It happened at the intersection of Milam and Shoup Roads just before 2 p.m. Troopers said the driver of one car, 37-year-old Jennifer Fisher, was headed north on Milam Road. She failed to stop at the stop sign and hit a car that was headed west on Shoup Road, according to troopers.
Fisher’s daughters, 8-year-old Juliana Fisher and 14-year-old Zoe Fisher, died on the scene. Troopers said both children were wearing their seatbelts. Fisher was airlifted to the hospital, where she died.
Juliana was a student at King Elementary School and Zoe was a student at Widefield High School, according to a District 3 spokeswoman.
The driver and 3-year-old passenger of the other car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Troopers said speed, alcohol, and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
A GoFundMe page has been setup if you’d like to donate to the family.
A vigil for Fisher and her daughters will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24 at the site of the crash.
