ATLANTA, GA : Clayton County deputies detainee injured in multi-vehicle crash Georgia State Patrol on Thursday, 18th July 2024

Two Clayton County Sheriff’s Office deputies, a detainee they were transporting and the driver of another car were injured in multi-vehicle crash Thursday, according to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).

Around 5:13 pm, troopers responded to a three-vehicle crash on Forest Parkway at Southridge Parkway, just south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, GSP spokesperson Capt. Michael Burns said.

According to Burns, the incident began when a 2021 Dodge Charger – a Clayton County Sheriff’s Office vehicle with two deputies and a detainee inside – stopped behind a 2020 Chevrolet Trax at a red light in the eastbound lanes of Forest Parkway at Southridge Parkway.
